Off The Ice

A lot of what I talk about on FanInVan.com surrounds what happens on the ice: Endless amounts of Canucks talk and thoughts, rants, NHL discussions and seemingly an unlimited amount of posts dedicated to what Mats Sundin ate for lunch that day.

What hasn’t been talked about nearly often enough on this blog has been the lack of coverage discussing what doesn’t happen on the ice. While there’s no doubting the fact the NHL has emerged from its defensive shell in the pre-lockout days, it’s important to talk about the product off the ice, its players and the future state of the game.

Starting tomorrow, I’ll be doing a five-part feature on five different issues surrounding the NHL that are off the ice. Hopefully it will keep you on your toes about the NHL’s dealings away from the rink.

And hopefully there will only be a limited discussion on Mats Sundin.
