Round Two Playoff Predictions!
April 29th, 2009 Posted in UncategorizedSome upsets were made, some bold decisions proved costly and others paid huge dividends. What does Round 2 of the NHL postseason have to offer? It’s a close race so far, here are the standings after the first round:
- Tranucks with 13 points
- Chad Klassen and Kyle Gagan with 10 points
- Alex Strohschein, Jack, Leon with 9 points each
- Raph and Vic with 8 points each
- Hora, Kyle Gagan, Ray Ray Superstar and Gio with 7 points each
- Matt Lee, Hei Wang and Hosea with 6 points each
- Shawn and Dave Roberts with 5 points each
Some of you were also fortunate enough to predict a series perfectly, earning three points. Here’s some of your great predictions:
- Leon correctly guessed that Detroit would win in four games, with Johan Franzen scoring the winner.
- Tranucks AND Alex Strohschein managed to call that Carolina would triumph in seven games, with Eric Staal getting the clincher.
It’s still a close race, and it’s anybody’s game. You can tell, however, that getting a series bang on puts you in the upper echelon of the standings. With Round Two featuring a handful of teams with momentum, the opportunity is there for upsets to be made. Make your predictions wisely! Here is the scoring system for Round Two:
- You score TWO POINTS for correctly guessing the winning team for each series.
- You score TWO POINTS for correctly guessing the amount of games the team won in.
- You score THREE POINTS for correctly guessing which player scores the winning goal in the deciding game.
Again, simply copy and paste your predictions into the comments section. Good luck!
